SUMMARY:
Rose Edelstein, one the eve of her ninth birthday, takes a bite of the lemon chocolate cake baked by her mother. What she tastes is not the cake but the sad emotions of her mother who on the outside is cheerful and happy. Thus, starts her power of tasting people's emotions through the food they prepare. This gift becomes a kind of curse when she learns about people around her. Slowly she learns to use her power in ways which helps her and the family.
